Happy Birthday Jack!

We just love having Jack in the family! He is always so happy. I can't believe it was a year ago that we had our little Jack, it went so fast. I'm so glad that he was born.

I know that he looks like a sweet little angel in the first pictures, but he can be a maggot! Once he started crawling he is into everything and now that he can walk he's even faster!

One day while making brownies I put the beaters in the dishwasher and he found one and started licking it. Now he loves the dishwasher every time I open it he's there in a second, trying to find another yummy treat. Then one day he clilmbed all the way into it.

He keeps me moving all the time...if it's ever quiet for a few minutes, I know that he's getting into something!

He loves to climb things, because we have 2 sets of stairs he's very good at that. This is him just thismorning climbing the ladder on the big sisters bunkbeads!

The Holidays

We had so much fun over the hlidays. We had a lot of visitors, so many people who love us.

Nana came for Thanksgiving from Pheonix, and we loved having her here. Our cousins also came and we celebrated Nana's 80th birthday! Thanks for coming grandma we had a lot of fun.

Then about a week before Christmas TJ's mom came into town from Colorado and we celebrated Christmas with her. It was awesome we love spending time with grandma Diane and we appreciate her coming. She does so much for us. We also spent time with Tara and her family. She hosted the Christmas party and did a wonderful job.

Then for Christmas Uncle Bret and Aunt Whitney came from California to visit. It was so fun to see them, the kids just loved spending time with them. It was fun for them to see Jack getting bigger and crawling around. Thanks for coming Bret and Whit it was fun to see you.

Halloween!

We are so excited. TJ's brother Torrey came to visit us and he brought TJ a Clemson Snugi for his birthday! We are so relieved that we can sit and watch TV or snuggle on the couch with a blanket on and still have our hands free to use the remote or hold a book. We can even keep our blanket on while we play mario kart or rockband on the wii, How Awesome! Thanks Torrey, we loved having you here.

Jack loves Peyton. She always plays with him. Sometimes the playing gets a little rough, but she usually makes him smile.

He has been so fun to have in our family, I can already tell that he has a fun personality.

What an awesome first football season! We are glad it's living up to the hype! TJ and I were telling him how awesome it was, but we didn't know that his first BYU game would be BYU beating #3 Oklahoma! Go Cougars!

Kindergarten Here We Come!

Taylor is so excited for school! You can probabally tell by the cheerleader pose.

She looked so cute, I love that I could have worn the exact same outfit and my hair crimped just like Taylor when I was in kindergarten.

Here's the cute little sister, she is sad that Taylor is going to be going to school everyday but I am excited to have some mommy-Peyton time.

Peyton missed Taylor a lot and ran to meet her when she came off the bus. At dinner tonight TJ was asking Taylor if she had a guy or girl bus driver. Taylor (in her Taylor way) said "It was a guy bus driver, He was kinda black with shortish hair". TJ then proceeded to ask her if it was Carlos Boozer to which she rolled her eyes and said, "no dad, it was not Carlos Boozer"

Taylor has now officially started her career in the sports world. She had her first soccer game this past Saturday and she did a good job making her parents proud by scoring a goal in the game. She is playing with one of her best friends which makes for a powerful one-two punch! In her age group they practice for the first half hour and then play four 5 minute quarters after the practice. Now we get to be the parents that provide the capri suns and orange slices at the games. How fun is that!! We will keep everyone updated on the season and let you know what college scouts are coming out looking at her and her soccer skills.

The night before the 4th we celebrated with the Baker's and the Lucus's. We had a BBQ at the Bakers house, let the kids play, and did fireworks. Here is Taylor and Easton playing in a tent in the back yard.

Peyton and Taylor were in heaven playing in the tent. They were pretending it was there doctor's office and they would take you in there and ask you what was hurting, then they would brush it off with this little broom they had. I think that Easton just liked being in the Tent with the girls, and the parents liked it because it kept them busy and out of trouble.

The Beach

We went to the beach in June and it was Jacks first visit to the beach. He just sat in his beach chair all day....

Just kidding, he slept most of the time! I don't know if it was the sounds or the breeze, but everytime we went he slept for a few hours. He is definately a beach bumb!

The girls loved the beach like always! They played in the sand for hours each day. They also love jumping waves and looking for sea shells. They never get board at the beach. So with Jack sleeping most the time and the girls loving it I even got to relax a little.

We loved that the Bakers were there. Here are the uncles jumping waves with the girls. It was nice to have extra people to play with the girls because TJ couldn't come.

Here's the beautiful Huntington Pier. It brings back all the fun memories that I had at the beach as a child. The beach is always the best vacation.

Here is Aunt Kenzie with Peyton, after a long day at the beach she fell asleep while Kenzie was holding her. Jack just woke up from his long nap and was chillin in my beach chair.

It was fun that we got to hang out with Uncle Bret and Aunt Whitney because they live in California and we don't get to see them as much as the aunts and uncles. Here is Bret holding Jack at the Markham's house.

We were really excited to see Aunt Wendy, she lives in California and we don't see her as much as we would like but we want her to know that we love her! My girls always love to see her! Here she is holding Jack, I just love this picture!

We had a good time at the beach and we missed dad but we had a lot of fun! Thanks for letting us go dad and working so hard while we were gone. We love you!

Jack's Blessing Day

We are so grateful for all our family that was able to make it to this special day for Jack! Jack was so good for his blessing..mainly that he was happy during it..A big change from when we blessed Peyton with her screaming/crying while being blessed. The little suit that Jack wore was the same suit that Mitchell was blessed in about 20 years ago..hence the 80's look to it. Thanks again for everyone that came and helped out!!

Taylor graduated from preschool on Saturday

The program was so cute they had some of them dress up in outfits from other countries and sing a song and dance. Taylor was the spanish girl, most likely because of her beautiful dark hair and dark eye's. She did such a good job!

First sorry for no posts in like the last 2 months, but what better way to blog again by introducing you to the newest member of the family..Jack Travis!! He was born on March 10. He weighed in at 8 lbs and 20 inches long. We went in the hospital that morning so Katie could be induced and then little Jack came around 2:30 that afternoon. Jack is as healthy as a baby can be and we are so grateful for that.Katie was up and walking around in the room 2 hours after the delivery. She is such a trooper! We were also very grateful that the hospital room had FSN Utah so that Jack could watch his first Jazz game a couple hours later. I know what you are thinking and we have not decided on what school Jack will be playing football and basketball at yet but Clemson and BYU did have some Scouts there checking out his stats! The big sisters love having a new little baby brother around the house. They are going to be great for Jack although I am dreading the day I come home from work and Jack is wearing some fairy princess dress.

Taylor's Dance Recital

We put Taylor into dance this year and she just had her first recital. She did such a great job! Taylor is the one in the middle. The Bakers came to watch her dance and I didn't get a picture of them.

This is Taylor's good friend Mylee that is in her dance class. They looked so cute!

Taylor wasn't feeling very good the day of her recital, and she threw up 10 minuetes before we left and she danced anyway!

Peyton was so excited that Taylor was wearing a beautiful dress, and that she got on stage and danced. She cheered for her the whole time.

Gingerbread House!

My sweet aunt Cathy sent my kids this Gingerbread house kit. Here's TJ and the girls ready to put it together Monday night for Family Night.

Peyton got one look at all of the candy and she thought that she was just going to sit and eat all of it....so she was really excited!

Here's my sweet TJ concentrating really hard on making sure our gingerbread house look just like the one on the box.

The girls had so much fun decorating the house. Me and TJ had a lot of fun too.

Here in Utah there are about 254 CornMazes that dot the state. I don't remember any growing up in South Carolina. I guess I was deprived as a child! So we decided we better go see what this whole CornMaze thing was about. We packed up the girls and made the voyage 10 miles up the road(basically their life is complete now that we have been) We went there with my sister and her family which made it alot of fun. Taylor loved the huge slide they had there and Peyton loved getting into anything she could and testing her parents nerves!

The answer to your question is yes! Taylor and Peyton have birthdays 8 days apart which makes for a fun time these past couple weeks. Peyton is such an amazing little girl and she is always so happy. Her favorite thing to do is tag along with her best friend, Taylor! She always has to do what her big sister is doing! We love you so much Peyton!!

She wasn't excited at all the open all of these presents! Her birthday was on Saturday but she was so good and waited until yesterday (Monday) to open all of her presents. She had so much fun! Thanks for all of the presents.

Here is Kenzie holding Peyton. Peyton was very mad that all of the presents were for Taylor. It's hard to explain to an almost 2 year old that her Birthday is next week! She was pretty good. Especially when she found out that she got cake and ice cream just like Taylor. She also gave the cutest "Love you Tayla" for her birthday wish to her. If you don't know what birthday wishes are we just go around the table and tell the birthday person how much we love them and why. It is a fun tradition that my family does. I can't believe that Taylor is 5 she is growing up so fast! Happy Birthday Taylor we love you!

Here are the girls with Mitchell at the BYU game in Logan. They love Uncle Momo so much!

We had so much fun at the game. I didn't take very many pictures but Marcus,Brittany, and Kenzie were there also. Because everyone drove all the way to Logan that day and went to the game they all slept over at our house after. We loved having them all over for the night. I should've took pictures but we all played Guitar Hero and Mario Kart all night! They are welcome to stay over whenever they want.

On Friday the Anderson family went to Toad's! It's in Ogden and it's kind of like Boondock's. There is miniature golfing, games, laser tag, batting cages, and a driving range. We went miniature golfing and played some games. The girls had so much fun, and I am sure that TJ had as much fun if not more!

Here are some pictures of the miniature golfing...it was a little wild because Peyton would run and pick up everyone's golf balls. It was so cute they had a teeny little golf club that was Peyton's size and she liked that a lot. Taylor is pretty good at miniature golfing...she beat me on a few holes!

Here is TJ playing on a small kid size air hockey table with Taylor...if you can't tell he is on his knees so that he is the right height to play.

I think that the girls favorite thing was playing games and I know that it was TJ's. We played a lot of games that the girls could play and we were just getting a couple tickets at each. TJ decided to play something where he could win a lot of tickets so that we could get the girls some toys. We saw the Deal or No Deal Game (just like the show) where you could win up to 200 tickets so TJ played. He had Taylor pick one of the cases to start the game....The final 2 cases to choose from either had 30 or 200 tickets and the offer from the banker was for 120 tickets so we took the offer. 120 tickets was a lot when we had been winning 3 or 4 here or there. We then found out the case that Taylor picked in the beginning was the case with 200 tickets! Good job Tay! We had a lot of fun over all and TJ...I mean the girls... want to go back again soon.

Taylor's first day of preschool

This is a little bit late because her first day of preschool was the 4th, but I just had to let everyone know that she started preschool this year. She just loves it she asks me everynight if she has school the next day. At school they have started cutting out shapes and it is her favorite thing. I had to get her some little scissors for home. She spends hours drawing pictures and cutting them out. I love it because it keeps her busy. She goes to school with her good friend Milee and is having a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday TJ! TJ just turned 28 on September 7! I just wanted everyone to know how much I love him! He is my best friend and super HOT. He works hard and takes such good care of me and the girls, he is the best husband and dad ever. My idea of a fun weekend is staying home with him and watching football. I love you sweetie.
We had a fun weekend TJ's mom came into town and the Warrens came over on Sunday and celebrated TJ's birthday with us. Thanks for all the gifts he received we always feel so loved. Me and the girls (with the help of the Bakers money they gave him) got TJ rockband for the wii. We have had a lot of fun with it so you can expect me and TJ to be experts at it.

CLEMSON

This should be a great year for my teams. Clemson is ranked preseason #9 and BYU is #16. I just hope both teams can live up to their respectful expectations. I grew up going to Death Valley every Saturday to watch my Tigers play and I still support them as much as I can here in Utah. Here's to both Clemson and BYU having undeafted seasons!! Go Tigers and Go Cougs!

The Quest

This is the most exciting time of the year...no..not our anniversary...not 4th of July or not even Thanksgiving...its College Football time!!! We got our BYU season tickets in the mail this week and we are ready for a great season. Sometimes I am not sure who likes football more..me or Katie! I have to be one of the luckiest guys in the world. Last week we were at Katie's parents house and we were talking about football and then katie's dad said to me, "TJ, how many husbands have a wife that would know what a double reverse is or a screen pass is? You got one good girl!" He is right, I do! So back to BYU...It should be a great season!! A Clemson post will come soon!!

USA Basketball

On our way home from the beach we were able to stop in Las Vegas to see one of my old college buddies and his family. Thanks again D and Samye for the hospitality while we came through for the night. We had alot of fun with them and Taylor and Peyton loved playing with Halle and Bennett. D was able to get us tickets to the Team USA vs. Canada game that night. It was awesome seeing the NBA's best players on the court all together on the same team. And of course our 2 favorite players on the team are Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams....Go Jazz! :) The USA won 120-65 so it wasn't to much of a "game". Probably the highlight of the evening was when about 10 servicemen and women who had just returned from Irag and Afghanistan were introduced. The whole crowd gave them a standing ovation as each person was introduced and all the players were up cheering them on as well. Then as they were out on the court the whole crowd starting chanting "USA, USA, USA" It was probably one of the coolest moments and made me so proud to be an American and so grateful for those that sacrifice their lives for our freedoms!!

Angels Game

While at the beach we had a chance to take in an Angels game. Just some background...The Angles minor league team plays in Salt Lake and we love going to those games. It was fun being at the Angels game because about 4 of their starters previously played in Salt Lake. I think Taylor and Peyton's favorite part was the cotton candy. The Angels won the game 3-2 and now we are pretty big fans and not just because they have the best record in baseball!! Go Angels

Real Salt lake Soccer Game!

So one of Katie's newest cleints is the President of Real Salt Lake which is an MLS soccer team. He was just the VP of Sales with the Philaphedia Eagles and this is his first year with Real. Katie being the big sports fan that she is took him up on his offer for some tickets for the family. We were excited because that match they were playing the New England Revolution which is the best team in League. We picked up are tickets and started trying to find our seats. We found a seating chart but still could not find our section on the chart and did not know where to go. We found a usher and asked him where our section was. After looking at the tickets he looked up and said, "Are you kidding me? Do you know somebody?" I mentioned that we kinda knew the President of the team and then the usher said, "well that makes sense because these seats are in the executive suites"!!! Awesome huh? So we got to watch the game in amazing seats and had a free catered dinner from Famous Dave's BBQ (one of our favs) in our suite. We had all the soda and ice cream we wanted for free also!(Not that I like ice cream at all and the fact that they ran out of ice cream I had nothing to do with.) Real went on to win the game also which was icing on the cake! So needless to say we are now big Real fans and now whenever Bill offers us tickets to go to the game again we won't hesitate at all...Go Real!!

I consider myself a pretty avid Jazz fan, but this guy on the left is a pretty big fan himself. Yes that guy on the left is the one and only Marcus Baker (my brother-in-law) I was on the Jazz website today just checking up on the team and low and behold this picture was on there. The funny thing about this picture is that it was taken like 3 or 4 years ago. Its fans like Marcus that keep the NBA going!! Good job Marc!

While Grandpa and Grandma Anderson were in town we took them to ride the Heber Creeper. I don't know who loved it more the kids, TJ, or Grandpa! We had a lot of fun with the Grandparents and loved having them in town. Thankyou for all the fun and everything you did for us while you were here we really appreciated it. Taylor is still talking about all the fun she had with Grandma and Grandpa Anderson. We love you guys!

Dinosaur Park

My dad and step-mom came to visit for a week from South Carolina. We had a great time with them here. One of the many places we went was the Dinosaur Park that is in Ogden. A quick story...At the park they had a museum and inside it they had life-like dinosaurs that moved and made noises. Taylor was scared of them and wanted nothing to do with them. She ran up to her grandpa to be held and asked him to leave so they did not have to see the dinosaurs any more. At the end of our day at the park Taylor wanted to go back by those same dinosaurs to prove she was not scared of them. Sure enough we went back by and she liked them this time and she thought they were the coolest thing ever!

Fun at the Park

The weather has been pretty crazy here. One day its close to 80 then the next day its back to the 40's with snow flurries. We were able to take advantage of one the nice days by going to the park and flying kites. Taylor picked out the butterfly kite and after flying it I think that a real butterfly can fly alot better then their look-a-like friend!

Taylor and Peyton are both excited to have another cousin and they also loved that Grandma came in to town to see the baby(although they always think Grandma comes just to see them) Congrats Tara!!!

Jazz Game

We are pretty big Jazz fans and Taylor has always been asking us if she could go to a game. (usually when we go we drop her off at the grandparents house) We decided to take her to her first Jazz game last night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Thanks to Papa (Taylors Grandpa) we got tickets on the 9th row!! Taylor had alot of fun just taking in the whole atmosphere and enjoying a 117-100 Jazz win which pushed their win total on the season up to 50 wins!! Go Jazz!!!

The Perfect Workout

So after eating a big dinner and having tons of snacks during the Jazz game, Katie's brother, Marcus and his wife Brittany and Taylor decided to do a workout video that was on TV. Little did they know that I was going to grab the video camera and film it. Marcus was not to happy about the video and I promised him I would not post it on the blog...Promises can be broken right?!! Thanks Marcus and Brittany for the good footage! Enjoy

Easter!

Marcus and Brittany came and slept over on Easter and this is all the "kids" waiting to go find easter baskets and eggs that the easter bunny left.

Taylor was so excited about the camera that the easter bunny left for her so she was taking pictures and Peyton was more into eating all the candy!

Taylor and Peyton had so much fun finding eggs and easter baskets. They loved having Marcus and Brittany there they love them so much. Thanks for coming we had a fun weekend.

Disney Princesses on Ice!

Taylor loves princesses! She had so much fun! We went on Wednesday night with Taylor's friend Aubrey. Taylor was so funny to watch, she got so excited about everything! She would giggle and cheer for the princesses as they came out. As you probably know she comes from a family who loves sports and she was doing loud yells like TJ and I do while watching sports. She got a snow cone there and it was in the lovely princess cup and she just loves it. She was so excited to wear her snow white dress, and she looked so cute. There were lots of other girls dressed up as well and Taylor liked that a lot too. I had so much fun watching Taylor watch the show it was worth every penny.

Tara's baby shower

My sister-in-law Tara is going to have a baby in April and we are so excited. She is having a baby boy and doesn't she look cute with her baby belly. TJ's mom came in town and did a baby shower for her it was fun to have grandma in town. Taylor and Peyton loved the shower because there were lots of friends and food, it doesn't get much better than that! The little blond girl is Tara's niece Elle, her and Taylor had a fun time. Congratulations Tara! We are so excited for Taylor and Peyton's cousin to come.

Curlers in your hair!

Peyton Loves to eat Yogurt but she hates having curlers in her hair. She left them in for a while, but then started trying to take them out. In an attempt to distract her I gave her some yogurt. Sorry for the nudity I always just take her shirt off while she eats yogurt and other messy things because she always gets it all over her. I try and put bibs on her but she has learned to pull them off. It also looks like she is eating it more with her hand instead of the spoon but there is an apple in her hand because she loves to dip so that is a good way for her to eat it. She just dips the apple in the yogurt and eats it off the apple. I took some pictures with her and Taylor and of course Taylor is wearing a crown (she is always playing dress up or pretending something).

New Sweat Suits

TJ's mom just sent the girls these cute little sweat suits for Valentines Day and we just love them. They are cute and comfortable.....the best combination. The girls just loved their Valentines package. Thanks Grandma Diane and we can't wait to see you this weekend.... Taylor asks everyday how many days are left until grandma comes. Love you!

Sleeping!

TJ's schedule has been kind of crazy the last couple of weeks. He usually starts working around 3:30 am and doesn't get done till about 1:30 pm. Most of the time he is super tired when he gets home and I try and keep the girls quiet while he takes a nap. The other day TJ and Peyton fell asleep together after TJ got home from work. It was nice to have both of my babies down for a nap at the same time.

Peyton loves to wear Taylors sunglasses. I think that she looks super cute in them so I can't help but take pictures of her when she puts them on . We are ready for warmer weather at the Anderson house. Every night when Taylor says her prayers she prays for the snow to melt so that she can play outside.

Here in Clearfield we had six inches of snow the other day that added to all the snow we already had. TJ and Taylor were outside for a couple hours making a huge snow fort. Taylor just loves it, well I don't know who loves it more Taylor or TJ.
